The BC Hydro Peace Agricultural Compensation Fund (Ag Fund) is seeking applications from agricultural producers in the B.C. Peace region to fill two upcoming positions on its Board of Directors.
The positions available are:
The AG Fund Board of Directors plays an important role in supporting the delivery of the fund and the continued growth and development of agriculture in the B.C. Peace region.
Applicants must be agricultural producers in the B.C. Peace region. Those interested in the Peace River Valley member-at-large position must also be located within the Peace River Valley.
Board members serve a three-year term, with the possibility of extending their service to a maximum of six years. The Board typically meets three to five times per year, with meetings generally held in Fort St. John.

About the Ag Fund: Established in 2019, the Ag Fund has invested over $4.9 million into 133 projects in the Peace region, to fulfill their vision of supporting the Peace region’s opportunity for agricultural production and agrifoods economic activity. The Ag Fund prioritizes fair and transparent decision-making by a local Board, supported by Northern Development as the fund administrator. Funds are strategically managed to preserve the initial $20 million capital while generating strong returns to support future funding intakes.
